Remarkable Magics

One day, I opened a package from my publisher, and it contained the first two copies of my book, one in each flavor of available binding. Someone had taken the time to measure and cut and beautifully tie a red ribbon around both of them. My editor included a handwritten note congratulating me on my debut.

So yes- publishing your first book is nervewracking and crazymaking and baffling and terrifying and bizarre- but it’s also full of red ribbons and remarkable magics.
